Focus on the present moment : don’t let yourself to swept away with your emotion and react with wrong way. When you feel you are going to rush and react in a wrong way stop and focus at the present moment with your brain . that will help your brain not to get overwhelmed in emotionally thinking and to focus again in the situation in a reasonable way
Breathe well : as you overwhelmed by your emotions ,try to stop thinking of what is going around you and breath . take breath with your nose , feel the air fill into your lungs and release it again by your mouth . do that for three or four times , that will help you a lot.
Release your muscle : do it as a practice . divide your body muscle into groups face ,toes ,stomach , eyes , lips , arms and feet . tense every muscle for 5 seconds and release it for 15 seconds . by doing this , feel the way you release them . that will help you get rid of all the tension and stress. That technique known as progressive relaxation muscle and that help you relax your body by using muscle relaxation. You can feel calmer and relax by only release the muscles in your lips and smile.
Visualization : imagine yourself in a quiet and safe place . Picture every detail in your mind . what you see, what you hear and what can you touch . you can try “relaxation muscle practice” while you are visualizing . breathe well and even. That practice will help you get rid of the negative emotions.
